About Us

Tulipano Italian Restaurant has been in business since October 1993.  It is a family run restaurant, owned by two brothers from Naples, Italy.  Chef, Eduardo Carrano and Host, Vincenzo Carrano.

Tulipano’s cuisine is based on traditional Italian dishes with the finest fresh ingredients and cooking techniques which you will see, smell and taste the difference.  The dinning area is split into two sections, one side has wide picture windows, a sort of casual seating, while the other side is more of a formal setting.

The pastas are made fresh daily, but don’t just look at the menu, you must hear which specials the chef has planned for the day.  However, if you don’t see or hear anything your interested in, the motto is “if what you are craving for is not on the menu, but we have it in the kitchen, we’ll cook it for you”.

People from all around come in to enjoy a good meal.  From an afternoon lunch break to an elegant dinner proposal date.  However, if you don’t have the time to eat in, place an order to go and it will be packed up for you including the bruscetta appetizer and warm bread.

In a review given to Tulipano Italian Restaurant, by Merrill Shindler, Food Critic,  the rating was 3 STARS and the words were “Exceptional Italian cuisine, leaning mostly to the dishes of the north prepared with surprising style and elegance, in a pleasantly decorated surprise in a mini-mall”.  “What I didn’t expect was that I’d have one of the best Italian meals I’ve encountered in the San Gabriel Valley, at a restaurant called Tulipano that is simply extraordinary”.  Tulipano’s also received Entertainment’s Members Choice Award in 1999 for Favorite Fine Dinning Restaurant.  Another award received was from the Zagat Survey for 1999, who said “Regulars know it as a rare treasure where the food and service are unbeatable”.
